How TEPHIA SECURE works

Your files are encrypted in your browser. The server never sees their content.

1. Sign in

You sign in with your organisation's account — through Microsoft, or with a password and a one-time code.

2. Choose files

Drag files or a whole folder into the window. Several files are bundled into one ZIP.

3. Encryption in the browser

Your browser creates a password and encrypts the files before they reach the server (Argon2id and AES-256-GCM). The server only ever stores unreadable data.

4. Pass on link and password separately

You receive both. Sent together in one message, they are no safer than an unencrypted attachment — pass on the password by another channel.

5. The recipient downloads the files

The recipient opens the link, enters the password, and the file is decrypted in their browser. No account, no sign-in.

6. File deleted, proof kept

After download, the file is deleted immediately; if it is not downloaded, it expires after the deadline. What remains is the complete proof of who downloaded what, and when.
